Before Your Massage
Thank You for Choosing BlyssByChrys for Your Massage Needs!
Getting a massage is a wonderful experience that is also extremely beneficial when it comes to overall health. Below are a couple of things I would like you to know before your appointment.
Before your massage:
Drink plenty of water both before and after your massage. Proper hydration will help to prevent muscle soreness.
Avoid alcoholic beverages before your massage. Varying levels of pressure are used in order to produce the therapeutic effect. You need to be able to clearly communicate needs to the therapist. Alcohol is also very dehydrating.
Avoid caffeine prior to massage. It is overstimulating and dehydrating.
Prior to massage, eat a light meal. You do not want the hunger to distract you from the massage. You also do not want a meal that is too heavy. It may make you uncomfortable which makes it difficult to relax on the table. Services are at least an hour long which is a long time to lay down if you are trying to digest a large meal.
If you are a person who stretches, do some light stretching in the morning on the day of your massage. Do not overdo it. Any injury sustained could create a sore area that will be painful during your treatment.
Write any questions down if you have them. I can answer them prior to your service. Be prepared to share any pertinent medical history. We will also go over what to expect. This is to maintain your safety and comfort during your treatment.
Things to know for Mobile Clients:
The massage table is 31 inches wide and 84 inches long. Please clear a space that will accommodate both the table and I.
A table warmer is available for use, so it would be ideal that this space is closer to an outlet.
A diffuser is used during the massage for clients who would like aromatherapy. A standard blend is used to encourage relaxation.
Please allow at least 10-15 minutes for set up. This will not come out of your scheduled massage time.
